AMLA is operational

The AML Authority (‘AMLA’) is the EU’s new centralised AML/CFT supervisory body, which will co-ordinate national supervisors to ensure the consistent application of rules.

AMLR

10 July 2027

The AML Regulation (‘AMLR’) is directly applicable EU regulation replacing the current framework with a hard implementation deadline for all EU Member States.

AMLD6

Ongoing

AMLD6 sits alongside the AMLR and includes key requirements relating to beneficial ownership transparency and FIU cooperation.

Publications of technical standards and guidelines, including consultations.

New rulebook is in effect.
