The NICE Actimize ENGAGE Client Forum, an invitation-only event addressing technology and business issues facing financial services organizations, takes place in New York City on October 17 and 18. This exclusive client-focused event offers more than 35 thought-provoking sessions focused on today's financial crime and compliance challenges and the industry's transition to Autonomous Financial Crime Management.

Kicking off this year's ENGAGE Client Forum will be a keynote speech by James Comey, Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (2013-2017) and author of the current bestselling book, "A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership." Comey will share experiences from his career in the past two decades of American government, exploring what ethical leadership looks like and how it drives sound decisions even in the most challenging and uncertain of circumstances.

On the second day of the ​ENGAGE Client Forum, Nick Szabo, computer scientist, legal scholar and cryptographer known for his research in digital contracts and digital currency, will discuss the impact that these new technologies will have on the future of financial institutions. The phrase and concept of "smart contracts" was developed by Szabo with the goal of bringing what he calls the "highly evolved" practices of contract law and practice to the design of electronic commerce protocols between strangers on the Internet. Smart contracts are a major feature of cryptocurrency.
